It’s New Year’s Day; January 1, 2017 to be exact. Did you spend any time over the past few days reflecting on what went right, and wrong over the past year? Discover anything that you would like to change? Did you make a list of resolutions?

While the significance is mainly psychological, the start of a new year is literally like getting a clean slate, or a fresh start, at achieving your dreams and creating the life that you want for yourself and your loved ones.

The start of the New Year can be just what you need to give you the motivation to kick those bad habits and start new traditions, but, only if you are specific and clear about your goals, and know each step that you need to take to make your dreams a reality. You also must find a way to stick to your resolve and muster the strength and determination that you need to keep pursing your resolutions rather than allowing them to be discarded on the towering heap of past failures and good intentions.

Each of us is the creator of our own destiny, the author of our own story, and reaching the New Year really is like receiving a present,  the opportunity to turn the page and begin again. What will you do with the gift of a new year? Will 2017 be your best year ever?

Here at The Redneck Holler Princess Guide, we started off 2016 with lots of good intentions, especially as concerns this blog. Then, as with so many plans, the circumstances of Life got in the way of achieving our goals. However, 2017 is a new year, and a new opportunity to bring you, our readers, fresh, new content that’s insightful and engaging.

Thanks for sticking around and baring with us through our false starts, stumbles and falls. In the coming weeks readers should notice many changes to our blog. We hope that these changes will make The RHP Guide more useful, and entertaining for you.

Is 2017 going to be the best year ever for The Redneck Holler Princess Guide and her readers – YES!
